This Privacy Policy explains how GEMHS (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use the LAC Shuttle mobile application, website, and related shuttle transportation services collectively referred to as the “Service.”
By using LAC Shuttle, you acknowledge the information practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
The information collected depends on the features you use.
2.1 Account and Personal Information
When you create or manage an LAC Shuttle account, we may collect:
- Your full name;
- Email address;
- Telephone number;
- Username or user identifier;
- Profile information;
- Account role, such as passenger, driver, dispatcher, or administrator; and
- Authentication information required to create and secure your account.
Passwords and authentication credentials may be processed through Google Firebase Authentication. We do not intentionally store your password in readable form.
2.2 Shuttle Reservations and Trip Information
When you request, schedule, manage, or complete a shuttle journey, we may collect:
- Pickup and destination information;
- Requested or scheduled travel dates and times;
- Reservation and booking details;
- Assigned shuttle or driver information;
- Passenger count;
- Trip status and trip history;
- Cancellations and related service activity; and
- Notes or instructions that you voluntarily provide.
We use this information to arrange and manage shuttle transportation services.
2.3 Location Information
LAC Shuttle may request access to your device’s location when location-based features are required.
Depending on the version of the app and the features available to you, location information may be used to:
- Identify your pickup location;
- Display nearby shuttle services;
- Show a shuttle or driver’s current position;
- Provide route or navigation functionality;
- Estimate arrival times;
- Support trip coordination and passenger safety; and
- Confirm that a pickup or trip-related activity occurred at the expected location.
LAC Shuttle will request Android location permission before accessing permission-protected location data.
Foreground location only: LAC Shuttle accesses location only while you are actively using a feature that requires it.
You may deny or disable location access through your device settings. Some location-dependent features may not function correctly after location access is disabled.
We do not use location information for advertising.
2.4 Device, Technical, and Security Information
When you use LAC Shuttle, we may automatically collect limited technical information, including:
- Device type and operating-system version;
- App version;
- Device or app identifiers;
- Internet Protocol address;
- Login timestamps;
- Error, diagnostic, and crash information;
- Security and authentication events; and
- Information about how app features are used.
We use this information to operate the Service, diagnose technical problems, protect accounts, prevent misuse, and improve reliability.
2.5 Notifications
When enabled, we may collect or use a device notification token to send information such as:
- Reservation confirmations;
- Trip reminders;
- Shuttle arrival notifications;
- Schedule changes;
- Cancellations;
- Service announcements; and
- Account or security notices.
You may disable notifications through your device settings, although doing so may prevent you from receiving important trip updates.
2.6 Communications and Support Requests
When you contact us, we may collect your name, contact information, message content, screenshots, attachments, and other information you provide so that we can investigate and respond to your request.
2.7 Payment Information
LAC Shuttle does not directly collect, store, use, or process users’ complete payment-card or banking information.
All payments made through the app are securely processed and managed by Stripe, an independent third-party payment-processing provider. When you make a payment, your payment details are submitted directly to Stripe and are handled according to Stripe’s own privacy policy, security practices, and terms of service.
LAC Shuttle does not have access to or store your complete debit-card number, credit-card number, card security code, or banking credentials.
We may receive and retain limited transaction information from Stripe, including:
- The amount paid;
- The payment date and time;
- The payment status;
- A Stripe transaction or payment reference;
- The currency used;
- The payment method type or card brand;
- The last four digits of the payment card, where provided by Stripe; and
- Information relating to refunds, failed payments, or disputed transactions.
We use this limited information only to confirm payments, associate payments with shuttle bookings, issue or confirm refunds, resolve payment-related inquiries or disputes, prevent fraud, and maintain necessary financial and operational records.
Stripe’s collection, use, retention, and protection of payment information are governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy and legal terms.
3. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts;
- Provide shuttle booking, dispatch, tracking, and transportation features;
- Coordinate passengers, drivers, vehicles, routes, and schedules;
- Send trip, reservation, security, and service notifications;
- Respond to support inquiries;
- Maintain trip and transaction records;
- Detect fraud, unauthorized access, and misuse;
- Protect passengers, drivers, employees, and the public;
- Diagnose technical problems and improve app performance;
- Enforce our terms, policies, and operational rules;
- Comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal or sensitive user information.
4. How Information May Be Shared
We may share information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
4.1 Shuttle Personnel and Authorized Users
Reservation and trip information may be available to authorized drivers, dispatchers, administrators, or other personnel who require the information to provide and manage shuttle services.
For example, an assigned driver may receive a passenger’s name, pickup location, destination, contact information, and relevant trip instructions.
4.2 Service Providers
We may use trusted service providers to support the operation of LAC Shuttle, including:
- Google Firebase, for authentication and related application infrastructure;
- Cloud-hosting and database providers;
- Email, SMS, or push-notification providers;
- Mapping, geolocation, and routing providers;
- Technical support and security providers;
- Analytics or crash-reporting providers, where enabled; and
- Payment-processing providers, where payments are supported.
These providers may process information on our behalf only for the services they provide and subject to their contractual and legal obligations.
4.3 Legal, Safety, and Compliance Purposes
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable laws, court orders, or lawful governmental requests;
- Investigate fraud, security incidents, or misuse;
- Protect the rights, safety, and property of users, drivers, employees, our organization, or the public; or
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4.4 Business Transfers
If the Service or organization is involved in a merger, restructuring, acquisition, financing, or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Where legally required, users will be notified of material changes affecting their information.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.
These safeguards may include:
- Encrypted transmission using HTTPS or comparable modern encryption;
- Authentication and access controls;
- Role-based restrictions for administrative and operational personnel;
- Secure server and database configuration;
- Logging and monitoring of security-relevant events;
- Restricted access to production systems; and
- Regular software and dependency updates.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Maintain your account;
- Provide requested shuttle services;
- Preserve active reservation and trip information;
- Resolve disputes and customer-support matters;
- Maintain security and prevent fraud;
- Satisfy legitimate operational and recordkeeping requirements; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Account profile information is generally retained while your account remains active.
After an account-deletion request is completed, information associated with the account will be deleted or anonymized unless retention is required for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute-resolution, or regulatory purposes.
Information retained for these limited purposes will not be used for unrelated activities.
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backup systems until those backups are overwritten in accordance with our normal backup schedule.
Proposed operational timeframe: We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Residual encrypted backup copies may remain for up to 90 days. These timeframes should be changed before publication if they do not match the system’s actual deletion and backup procedures.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You may request permanent deletion of your LAC Shuttle account and the personal information associated with it.

8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information held about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request deletion of your account and associated data;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Request a portable copy of certain information; and
- Submit a complaint to an applicable data-protection authority.
You may update certain account information directly through the app. Other requests may be submitted using the contact information at the end of this Privacy Policy.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
9. Permissions
LAC Shuttle may request Android permissions necessary for its functionality, such as:
- Location permission for pickup, routing, tracking, or arrival-estimation features;
- Notification permission for trip and account notifications;
- Camera or photo access if users may upload profile images, identification, vehicle images, or supporting documents; and
- Internet access to communicate securely with our servers.
The app should request only the permissions required for enabled features. Permissions may be managed through your Android device settings.
10. Children’s Privacy
LAC Shuttle is not intended for independent use by children under the minimum age permitted to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate authorization from a parent, guardian, school, organization, or other responsible adult where required.
Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization so that we can investigate and take suitable action.
11. International Processing
Our servers or service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you are located.
Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information transferred internationally receives appropriate protection under applicable law.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
LAC Shuttle may contain links to maps, websites, payment platforms, or other services operated by third parties.
This Privacy Policy does not govern independent third-party services. Their handling of information is subject to their own privacy policies and terms.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our app, services, legal obligations, or data practices change.
When material changes are made, we may notify users through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method. The updated policy will display a revised effective date.
Continued use of LAC Shuttle after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy where permitted by law.
